Students were given the problem of  creating a typographical self-portrait using type as the medium to illustrate their likeness.

Students had to create a personal vocabulary that described themselves. These words were used to illustrate their image of themselves.They then took words from their self-describing vocabulary list and used them to design a background or take up some of the negative space around their portrait!
