Once you have become more familiar with Adobe Illustrator, for those who have an interest in drawing and animation, this assignment will help you  improve your skills in both.

Preproduction for an animated movie involves story, script, background design, storyboarding , character designs and turnaround/model sheet pages.

Once a charccter design has been approved, a model sheet is designed encompassing the character posing front, side, 3/4, and back views.

An additional sheet might show facial expressions and dynamic poses including character props

Your assignment is to design a character of your choice and then create a model sheet for the character. You may just design a basic model sheet showing a turnaroud comprised of the 4 basic poses and a minimum of 4 expressions. You will creat your model sheet in Adobe Illustrator based upon the example(s) to your right.

 

Think, be creative, do not plagiarize another character...have fun..show us what you can do!
