One Point Perspective

One Point Perspective is the second kind of perspective you learn about.

The most simple form and the "first" kin  of perspective is "Overlapping" perspective. When one shape is in front or behind another you inherently know which is closest to you and which is farther away...it is the easiest way to show "Depth"!

One point perspective is the first type of perspective you will learn. In 1 point perspective ALL the elements in your composition recede into space or focus on  ONE point.

One of the most famous examples of one point perspective  is Leonard Da Vinci's " The Last Supper". Notice how the "horizon Line"runs through the head of Jesus and all  the architectural elements of the walls and ceiling focus also on the head of Jesus.
